TESTIMONIALS
“I don’t even know where to start. First, thank you for showing me all the ways to improve and strengthen my application. If only we had started working earlier, I could have used your help on my Early Action application! I didn’t even realize the myriad ways I could have improved my activities list and essays. But I’m confident that I’ve – finally – submitted the strongest application possible and am excited to hear back from the schools! Thank you for all your diligence, keen eye for details, superb editing skills that give editors at the New Yorker a run for their money, and your patience and wisdom through it all. I couldn’t have asked for a more supportive and encouraging team!”

“Wow, it’s hard to believe that in a few weeks, I will be starting my freshman year at Harvard. I owe so much to the fantastic team at Wise World Prep for this opportunity and I know for certain that my application would not have been nearly as strong without your help. I consider myself blessed to have had your guidance since 8th grade – from talking about how to spend my summers, to choosing classes, to visiting colleges, to brainstorming about how I can do more for my clubs and school – you challenged me to push myself beyond my comfort zone. I believe my admission to Harvard is the culmination of all your hard work and commitment to giving me the best chances of success. Thank you for all your help, patience, kindness, and generosity. I learned much and grew much with you. As I embark on this new stage of my life, I will be taking with me the many lessons you taught me – on how to think, write, and keep growing.”
– Student, Harvard College (Early Action), Class of 2017
“After hearing my sister rave about her experiences with you, I was excited to begin my own process with you as my guide. I loved how you challenged me, asked me tough questions, and nudged me along until I could find the stories that would share who I am in the most honest and attractive light. And boy, do I love my essays. My parents do too. My father reads them to everyone. I can’t tell you what a relief it is to be all done with the college applications while my classmates are anxiously waiting to hear back from colleges. I am so glad I got to work with you! Thank you for being amazing and so awesome.”

“Our son is having a great senior year. I think when parents pressure their children to apply to some school, and they get in, they feel more relieved than happy. Since Reed was R’s choice, he seems to be completely happy. All in all, with your help, I would say we made it through what could have been a tough emotional year with relatively few scrapes and zero scars.”
– Parent, Reed College (Early Decision), Class of 2017
“I just wanted to thank you Momo for all of your wonderful help. Not only have you thoughtfully helped me to edit and organize my supplements, but you’ve also made me a better, more succinct writer. I cannot thank you enough for the time you have working with me and I couldn’t have done it as well and as gracefully without you. You are the sweetest, most considerate person I know, and I am so blessed to have the chance to work with you.”

“Wes has a unique ability to connect with and listen to students, thereby drawing out what makes them tic – and more importantly, showcasing their passions and interests that might not be so apparent from their resumes. This proved to be invaluable as it greatly helped in producing paths to pursue that were not evident to me. This actually helped me develop these interests in greater depth, thus becoming more interesting as a college candidate. It also produced a powerful and memorable essay subject that Wes helped develop to its fullest potential with useful, insightful input throughout the whole process. What’s great about Wes is his willingness to ‘”be there”‘ for his students no matter what stage of the college application process – Wes wants his students to succeed just as much as they do.”
—Student, Georgetown University, Class of 2017
“We are very excited for our son. Also, very happy with Wes and how he was giving info to our son. He was truly genuine in his motivation. I likes his style a LOT. Certainly, now it depends on our son and how he processes it all. He is excited to start working on some his interest in film, and starting a blog too. Let’s see how he proceeds. Meanwhile, he has to also start working on his science projects…
“I was jokingly telling my son, that I wish Wes could have talked to him about how important it is to eat good, nutritious food. 🙂 You see, I am an nutritionist so proper diet and lifestyle are always stressed to the family. :)”
– Parent, WWP Passion Starter Program, High School Class of 2017
“From the beginning to the end of my college application process, Wes was there! His constant encouragement and expert advice were available from day one. Through texts, calls, and emails, Wes communicated often. Wes’ suggestions in my essays were more than helpful and, more importantly, kept my voice in the writing. His suggestions are just that: suggestions! He understands that as an applicant, we must own our work. Wes is also a master organizer and helped arrange my academic and extracurricular information in a concise, impressive manner. He aided in my admittance to four schools: Bowdoin, Brown, Dartmouth, and Duke. I strongly recommend Wes to any college applicant.”
– Student, Dartmouth College, Class of 2017
“Wes was exactly what I needed to excel during the college application process. His thorough understanding of the ins and outs of applying made me feel very comfortable and well taken care of. Additionally, his availability and quick replies made the revision process a breeze. One thing that I really appreciate looking back on my experience with Wes is that in addition to putting forward a strong application, I also learned a multitude of skills applicable beyond the application process. But above all else, what really sets Wes apart from other college counselors is that he made me strive to put forward the absolute best application I could. I’m so grateful for all of your help through the application process. I couldn’t have done it without you.”
– Student, University of Pennsylvania (VIPER Program), Class of 2016
“Working with you definitely helped me a lot in this whole process. I learned a lot from you, in so many different ways. Aside from pure grammar and organization in writing, you also showed me how to be more creative and to know which details are the most essential ones. You even emphasized how to approach people in different ways, just by always being kind.
“You helped me reach my best in this process, I really do not think that I would have reached further without your help. As a South American who went to a non-English speaking high school, I needed a lot of help and you were just what I need. You are very clever and efficient person, knowing precisely how to manage every step that appears in our way with proficiency.
“I would not give another thought in order to indicate you as THE COUNSELOR. Congratulations!”
– Student, Trinity College, Class of 2017
Because I’m an international student, I knew very little about the admissions process to American universities and was really stressed out about it. With Wes’s guidance, all the doubts and fears I had were gone. He helped me discover my potentials and whenever I felt discouraged or unmotivated he helped me think outside the box and see the admissions process from another perspective, teaching me perseverance through his actions and examples.
Wes also spent a lot of time getting to know me and it surely made a difference in the process. His edits on my essays, writing tips, reading suggestions and careful attention to my feelings as I wrote helped me to find my voice and, most of all, to know who I really am, with qualities and flaws, which is important not only for the admissions process, but for my entire life.
It was an amazing experience working with Wes and I would recommend it to everyone I know!
Best Wishes,

“We wanted to thank you for all of your help with K’s college application process. He was accepted to six schools that interested him so clearly. You helped develop a thoughtful, smart list. “We are delighted and enormously blessed to have this opportunity to send our daughter from Brazil to St. George’s High School. We loved the place and the people related, and we hope that whatever potential she has to offer will be release here under the good guidance of professional and caring tutors. I wanted to thank you sincerely because you supported and trained her in the process and infused her the confidence that she cleverly used in her applications and interviews; we think it really made the difference.”
– Parents, St. George’s High School, Class of 2016
“Dear Wes, I’m also glad you repeatedly encouraged P to write to her contact at Dartmouth. He sent a very warm response. She was so hesitant to send the email for some reason, and didn’t even think she wanted to go to Dartmouth at the time. If you had not reminded and urged her to send the email, I doubt Dartmouth would be on her list of possible school choices today.”
– Parent, Dartmouth College, Class of 2016
“Wes is an invaluable asset. Throughout my college process, Wes was communicative, totally accessible and had a sharp eye for detail. Not only was Wes diligent in helping me perfect my college essays, he also cultivated a cohesive, overall message for my entire application. Wes made me realize that I had a story to tell, and then helped me tell it. His ample knowledge of college admissions proved to be a fantastic tool in navigating the application process. Wes took the time to get to know me as a student and as an individual, and thus was able to steer me to success in the college application process.”

“Wes is a true mentor. While it is nice to have someone who offers solid and concrete advice on one’s writing, Wes ‘s strongest suit lies in the fact that his suggestions simply allow natural creativity to flow. He helps tap into a vast store of ideas that were previously unknown; yet, the best part is that they are still original ideas, only prodded into existence with Wes ‘s help. Not only does he shape your writing and aid you in finding a distinct voice, you can be sure that the multiple and meticulous revisions will yield a high quality end result.”
– Student, Stanford University, Class of 2015

– Parents, Princeton University, Class of 2015
“Wes unravels the mysteries of college applications and breaks it down into manageable and understandable segments. He helped me find my footing in the ever-complex process and even shed new light on my own experiences. Most importantly, Wes guided me without piggybacking me, so I feel my essays are ultimately still true to my own voice and myself.”
– Student, Dartmouth College, Class of 2016
“Ellie, your work with our son was a home run!! Truly, we can’t thank you enough. SPECTACULAR SUCCESS HERE. Never have we felt so confident to be “off the field” but so confident of what was happening on the field. Our son LOVED you.”
– Parents, Dartmouth, Class of 2017
“Thank you for your guidance to this past year and a half. Our daughter was accepted at more selective schools than her peers, and I believe that is thanks to your help in showing her how to be a stand-out candidate. You pushed her to find a meaningful summer internship last year, which was a big part of her application, and continually urged her to take her school clubs to the next level. The encouragement and practical advice you provided as she wrote her essays gave her confidence in her writing and skills she will use the rest of her life.”
